The Greens and Pinks…

Here they come
the Greens
and Pinks
All fresh
and new
Dropping
their guard
Opening up
ever
     so
                    slowly

Done
playing dead
Ready
 to start over
No more
hiding

Cautiously
Courageously
they emerge
survivors

Defiantly
Delicately
Definitely destined
to
      be
                            beautiful

Magical
Mysterious
Miraculously destined
to
          be.

Like the caterpillars
crawling over them,
preparing for metamorphosis,
spring flowers
and young leaves
are on
the bloom
at            last

  1. Nice image with the words. I always admire people who do this because I don’t have the patience to do it myself. There was a poetry post I was on and it was kind of a fad among the young adults, they were really good at it and some of them were really quite amazing.

Autumn is my favorite season, although I am glad to see spring finally get here. Summer will be here and gone before we realize it. Time has a funny way of flying the older we get. You would think it would slow down because my body can’t keep up like it used to.

Who ever said “you’re only as young as you feel” obviously didn’t work 30 years of construction, but then again, I don’t imagine that person is feeling anything right now.

    • It’s good to “see” you Charles… thanks for the visit and nice note. I like Fall the best too.. but, Spring and Summer are very welcome. Age is a relative thing… and a favorite saying of mine is that “growing older is mandatory. growing UP is optional”… LOL… but, tell that to your aching back and knees, right? ;)

take care and come back soon (you old fart.) JUST KIDDING ! ;) lol

  2. Yes, lovely imagery and clever placement of words :)
